This is a tardigrade, also known as a”water bear” or “moss piglet.” It is probably the coolest fucking microscopic life form that you’ve never heard of. Besides looking like miniature, animatronic gummy bears, tardigrades can live at temperatures close to absolute zero. Before you Google what absolute zero is, it’s -459.67 degrees Fahrenheit (lol no parenthetical Celsius conversion for the rest of the world haha). That’s pretty fucking cold. Anyways, tardigrades are tiny little living things that eat shit inside of mosses and whatnot. They can survive in any environment (including outer space), are able to go without water for up to 10 years, and are like a million bajillion years old (they originated in the Cretaceous period for you kids that understand whatever that means).

BAM, TARDIGRADES.

this is kind of old now- it’s my beginning animation final. We had to create a 30 second animation that had a lip sync in toon boom. I like the idea- but it’s not really executed very well. I had issues with colors and layers and all that jazz (it’s especially noticeable on the lip sync) plus, I don’t know how to animate. But it was fun :)

stop motion animation project I did with a buddy- now you all know what my arm looks like. 

digital painting—- it’s kind of weird for me- how come you guys make it look so easy? 

All but one of these were 25 minute drawings. They were for my  heads and hands final… because I thought “Oh hey- it’s time for finals already? Let me utilize a medium I’m unfamiliar with and turn those suckers in for a grade!”

i know male moose are supposed to be really aggressive and territorial- but it’s really hard to take an animal that always looks like it’s smiling seriously. 

These were drawn at the Museum of Natural History in LA. i did more drawings, but I really don’t want to subject you guys to too much gawd-awful shit.
